Chances are, if you are an older person in your family, never thought much about a parent or adult day services for adults in the United States. Most people do not ever really stop to consider the quality of life of our grandparents, and soon, our parents is when they begin to depend more and more various welfare services available to them in this country.

I am no exception. Until my mom has suffered chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and was confined to a wheelchair, I’ve never given much thought services were also available for older people after their physical health began to deteriorate. When they begin to depend on a large scale social services, adult day care, and temporary facilities and general services for them, what quality of life they could expect and much aid was available for their primary caregivers?

We are the oldest out of home care and nursing homes as long as possible should be a priority in our country, at least until there is no other option is possible.
